E-Ham is a great source of information. They have a section called Articles which has many construction ideas and other information of use to the ham radio community. The following Google trick will help you to do a search throughout their entire archive of posted articles. It will search, not just the article title but also the full text of the article. This can be useful when you want to find something that was posted some time ago but only have vague memories of the content.

How To Search E-Ham Articles

Let’s assume you want to find all articles dealing with 2 meter beams.

1. Go to google.com.

2. Type the following into the search box:
2 meter beam site:http://www.eham.net/articles/

How To Search ANY Site

This same technique can be used to search any other website. Here’s the syntax.

[search term] site:[URL here]

Example: q codes site:http://arrl.org

If you add double quotes around your search term Google will look for an exact match of that term.

Example: “q codes” site:http://arrl.org
