Be warned! If you visit the Early Television Museum website (the source of the picture above) you can easily lose an entire afternoon. You’ll find information about early broadcast stations and the different systems that they used; precursors to some current forms of television sets (like projection t.v.s from the 1940s); and interesting information on different television stations such as W2XAB - CBS.
