I was a shortwave listener when I was 13 years old. My first radio was something I purchased from a Spiegel catalog (that was over 30 years ago). I then acquired a Lafayette HE-40 from the Lafayette store that was in Union Square in Manhattan. Now…zoom to the present.

It was mid-life crisis time and it was my turn to do what some married men do…have an affair. So…I’ve had an affair with my first love - radios - and enjoying every minute of it. I got my ticket - Technician - and now working on my General license.
